Jan 14, 2025 · My surface pro 8 keyboard just stopped working. Mid email writing. Just stopped. I've done all troubleshooting I could find like restarting the machine, uninstalling the drivers and restarting, updating the drivers. No change. Even read that I should disconnect the keyboard, hold down esc, reconnect the keyboard, release esc. Nothing changed.

Dec 29, 2024 · The Surface stays in laptop mode but the keys and trackpad stopped working. I've cleaned the ports with rubbing alcohol, hard reset the Surface, and ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (The toolkit said that the test didn't support third party keyboard when my keyboard was plugged in, very much official, so I don't know what that means).
