Jan 24, 2001 · So far (15 months) the ALF/General is a real nice truck, very few teething troubles. Quality is good, no major beef's. The extra money for the ALF, so far, has been worth it. The International chassis' on the other two have been fine, both are 2 doors with no frills. The Marion rescue has been a good truck, it goes to all calls.

Take for instance, two cross lays. 1 and 2, 1 being towards the cab, 2 being aft of that. Now look for the valve handles. 1 and 2, next to each other, somewhat below those cross lays.

We fight fire in grass anywere from 1" to 4 feet in hight. we also use 2x4, 4x4, 6x6 trucks with the attack units carrying anywere from 2000 to 4000 gallons of water. the trucks all are set up with front platforms and we use pump and roll on all fires.

The Ladder Company has several tactical objectives assigned to it. These tactical objectives require tools and equipment to perform the task at hand.

Feb 18, 2006 · HQ has an engine (Capt, 2 FF's) and a quint (2 FF's). The 2 fire fighters on the ladder also staff the heavy rescue. A second station on the eastside of town has one engine (LT and 2 FF's). We have 3 chiefs who work days and respond after hours. 1500 calls per year, no EMS. Both engines and the ladder respond town-wide for structure fire calls.
