For a hiking (or outdoor trek shoe), there three requirements: 1-comfort, 2-traction, and 3-longevity. KEEN will provide 1 and 2. For me, I hike about 25 miles per week in the rock northeast US. Comfort and traction are extremely important. They never require a “break-in” period, and I never get blisters.

Keen hiking shoes should fit snugly but not too tightly. They should fit snugly around the heel and mid-foot, and there should be enough room in the toe box for your toes to wiggle. Additionally, you should be able to lace the shoes up snugly, but not so tight that it cuts off circulation.
