Town Hall History - B:Music
From 1834, Town Hall was the home of Birmingham’s famous Triennial Musical Festivals – three or four days of wall-to-wall music, morning, noon and night – which raised funds for the General Hospital. Thousands flocked to hear Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven symphonies or the latest major works from Europe.

Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill stations are within easy walking distance of Town Hall and Symphony Hall. Moor Street and Five Ways are slightly further away but still within walking distance. Train times can be checked at the National Rail website .
