Security officials in the United Kingdom have demanded that Apple create a back door allowing them to retrieve all the content any Apple user worldwide has uploaded to the cloud.

The UK is reportedly seeking access to data secured by end-to-end encryption with Apple's Advanced Data Protection, which prevents even Apple from seeing user data. Advanced Data Protection is an optional setting that users can enable for iCloud backups, photos, notes, and other data.

Government officials in the United Kingdom have reportedly secretly ordered Apple to build a backdoor that would give its authorities access to users’ encrypted iCloud data.
