Canada’s largest school board says hackers may have accessed some 40 years' worth of student data during the recent PowerSchool breach. In a letter

The PowerSchool data breach has impacted school boards across North America, with Canada's largest saying about 1.49 million students dating back to 1985 were impacted.

There is no confirmation from either school board or from PowerSchool that this data “that may have been accessed” was accessed, and the TDSB noted, “PowerSchool has reported that it received confirmation that the data acquired by the unauthorized user was deleted and that the data was not posted online.”
