Successful ballot initiatives and statehouse bills are driving a record number of minimum wage increases this coming year.

According to Municipal Code, the minimum wage will increase to $12.65 per hour and the tipped wage will increase to $5.06 per hour.

Ohio's minimum wage will increase on Jan. 1, from $10.45 to $10.70 per hour for non-tipped employees, according to the Ohio Department of Commerce. Tipped employee wages will increase from $5.25 to $5.

Murphy signed the $15 minimum wage increase in February 2019. Last December, Murphy said he was open to raising it as high as $18 or $20 an hour.
