Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the ICC men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024. Bumrah claimed 71 wickets in 13 matches, returning from a back injury to make significant contributions in keeping India competitive.

Bumrah and opening batter Smriti Mandhana will be receiving the ‘Best International Cricketer’ award in the men’s and women’s categories respectively while spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin is set to be honoured after announcing his international retirement midway during the tour of Australia.

The Indian fast bowler won the ICC’s award for men’s cricketer of the year for his performances in both the red-ball and white-ball format in 2024.

Jasprit Bumrah wins ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year 2024. He was nominated along with England batters Joe Root, Harry Brook and Australian left-hander Travis Head.

The Indian pacer has been outstanding in both home and away conditions, taking 71 wickets in 13 matches with an astonishing average of just 14.92

Bumrah played a total of 13 Tests and eight ODIs last year. He secured 71 and 15 wickets, respectively. As a result, Bumrah became only the fifth Indian cricketer to win the aforementioned accolade.
