Two people who showed up in a Palisades fire evacuation zone over the weekend in a fire truck claimed to be volunteer firefighters from the Roaring River Fire Department in Oregon —and they were arrested after authorities determined that the department doesn't exist.

LOS ANGELES (KATU) — Two Oregonians are now behind bars for impersonating firefighters in southern California. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department shared photos of a firetruck that they say was used by the two people who impersonated firefighters. Deputies have identified the suspects as 31-year-old Dustin Nehl and 44-year-old Jennifer Nehl.
