The Dolphins fell to the New York Jets, 32-20, giving them the No. 13 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. With the Broncos securing the final spot in the playoffs, there wasn’t anything the Dolphins could have done.

Tyreek Hill could be on his way out of Miami. The star wide receiver appeared to indicate after the Dolphins’ 32-20 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday that he might want to play elsewhere next season.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — As the Miami Dolphins lost to the New York Jets, 32-20, in Sunday’s regular-season finale at MetLife Stadium, the other half of the equation they needed to qualify for the playoffs did not go their way, either.

With Tua Tagovailoa watching from the sideline for the sixth time this season, the Dolphins tasked Tyler Huntley with leading the offense. But after a strong performance against the Cleveland Browns in the week prior, Huntley and the Miami offense couldn’t avoid mistakes and turnovers at MetLife Stadium.

According to The Athletic's playoff prediction model, the Dolphins have a 19% chance of making the playoffs heading into Week 18. This places them behind the Denver Broncos, who have a 74% chance, but ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals, whose chances stand at just 6%.

Depending on what side of the fence you stand on, the New York Jets either made their fans happy with a 32-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18 or disappointed them by winning a meaningless that hurt their draft position.

The Dolphins show little spark in losing to the Jets to finish 8-9 and out of the playoffs. They actually were eliminated when the Broncos beat the Chiefs.
