The company's business prospects have come under a cloud in recent days after the Trump administration said it would close the "de minimis" duty exemption in the United States, ending an import rule that had helped Shein keep prices low.

Online fast fashion retailer Shein is reportedly planning to lower its valuation to around $50 billion for a potential listing in London, according to a report by Reuters. This would be nearly a quarter less than the company's fundraising value of $66 billion back in 2023.

The online fast fashion giant had been hoping for a blockbuster £50billion flotation this year but is poised to cut its valuation to just over £40billion.
