NBA issued warnings – no further penalties – to Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Warriors’ Buddy Hield along with both teams for gestures on Tuesday night, sources tell ESPN.

Morant, who has been suspended by the NBA for gun-related incidents in recent seasons, ignored a warning given to him earlier the same day.

Ja Morant takes over down the stretch, and hits a game-winning buzzer-beater to carry the Grizzlies to victory in Miami.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that the NBA is looking into the incident. After the news broke, Morant took to X. “Ja this .. ja that ..,” the veteran guard posted, along with a laughing emoji.

Grizzlies star has a history with gun-related incidents in recent years, all of which led to a 25-game league suspension in Dec. of 2023.
