"We've spent more time plowing this year, you know in trucks plowing and taking care of the roads for snow and ice versus the past few years," said NYSDOT Highway Maintenance Supervisor Russel Smith.

Recently, a judge ruled that the NYSDOT cannot proceed with the project, but the pause on the project has raised concerns over whether state and federal funding will remain intact.
