The SXSW Film & TV Festival will kick off on March 7 with the world premiere of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s “The Studio,” the Apple TV+ comedy series starring Rogen as a fictional Hollywood studio head.

Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Hollywood-set comedy series The Studio will kick off SXSW as the opening night TV screening. Rogen stars as the newly appointed head of an embattled studio as he and his executives struggle to make their movies relevant.

"Taking Care" focuses on Lauren Miller Rogen's mother, Adele, a longtime Lakeland resident who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at age 55.

The festival continues its legacy of championing innovative works with its 2025 Film and TV program. This year's lineup boasts 96 movies, including 82 world premieres, showcasing a diverse range of genres from documentaries to comedies to thrillers.

Along with Rogen's upcoming Hollywood satire series 'The Studio,' projects premiering at the Texas festival will include 'Holland,' starring Nicole Kidman.
