Mary Pilgrim Inn on Aurora Avenue North in north Seattle is a temporary emergency shelter operated by the Downtown Emergency Service Center that houses single, highly vulnerable adults experiencing long-term homelessness. It does not offer walk-up services and offers people a play to stay while waiting for permanent housing placement.

There have been 14 cases of salmonella associated with the shelter, along with five hospitalizations. According to King County Public Health, many people became sick after eating food served at two Christmas dinners on December 25. Some also became ill from leftovers of the dinners.
