Des Moines has identified the officers who were involved in a shooting that left a suspect dead and two police officers injured on Monday.

A shootout early Monday left two Iowa police officers hospitalized and a suspect dead, Des Moines police said.

The Des Moines Police Department identified the man who was killed in a shooting on Sunday as 24-year-old Rayjon Ray. Kyonta Lavon Taylor, 25, was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter and felon in possession of a firearm in Ray’s death on Monday, spokesperson Sgt. Paul Parizek said in a news release.
