Andrew Cross, known to his YouTube audience as “Desert Drifter,” died Tuesday after being removed from life support after he sustained a serious brain injury while involved in a car accident last month.

An inquest was opened on Thursday into the death of grandmother Sharron Hall, 64, who died when her car was in collision with a police car in Whitehaven, Cumbria, on 19 January. The police vehicle, driven by a male officer aged in his 20s, was one of three which were responding to a separate emergency at the time.

Officer Noah Allat jumped into action to save a driver who was unconscious after a collision with a diesel tanker in New Jersey.

All three people involved in the car crash survived, with two being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
