The official portraits of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance were released Thursday by the Trump transition team. "And they go hard," a press release from the transition said about the portraits.

Trump’s portrait bears a notable resemblance to his mugshot from August 2023 at Fulton County Jail in Georgia, with the president-elect glaring through the camera.

Vance's photo shows him smiling with his arms folded over his chest. In contrast, Trump's official portrait in 2017 shows him with a very wide smile in front of an American flag. White House photographer Shealah Craighead took the photo. Trump and Vance will be sworn into office on Monday, Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C.
