New Orleans Pelicans reserve guard Jose Alvarado is just the latest player the injury-plagued Pelicans are going to miss long-term. Sources inform Shams Charania of ESPN that the 6-foot vet will be sidelined for at least the next six weeks because of a hamstring injury.

Alvarado has started seven games for the Pelicans this season. Dejounte Murray’s left hand injury on opening thrust Alvarado into an increased role. Alvarado played 18 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Orlando Magic.
