Google today announced a $32 billion deal to buy Wiz, an Israeli cloud security company that would become part of Google's cloud division if the merger is completed.

Google clinched a deal for its biggest-ever acquisition, announcing it will buy cloud-security platform Wiz for about $32 billion in cash. The acquisition of Wiz is expected to close in 2026, subject to usual closing conditions including regulatory approvals, according to Google. Once closed, New York-based Wiz will join Google Cloud.

Google and Wiz have stated that Wiz's products will continue to work across all major clouds - including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud, as well as through other security partners.
