Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma, Namibia's founding president and leader for 15 years, died in Windhoek on Saturday at the age of 95.

President William Ruto has mourned Sam Nujoma as a courageous and visionary leader who dedicated his life to the liberation and development of Namibia.

Sam Nujoma is considered to be a key architect of Namibian democracy. He is survived by his wife and children.
