HOUSTON (AP) — Texas-based iHeartMedia said it settled its legal dispute with Drake over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” after demonstrating that it “did nothing wrong.”
The rapper, who settled with iHeartMedia, suspects that the major label made secret payments and offered reduced licensing rates to third parties to promote the song.
According to Rolling Stone, Drake and iHeartMedia have reached a settlement in the musician’s payola pre-action filing. Based on documents obtained by the outlet, both parties came to a mutual agreement which was then confirmed on paper in the Bexar County, Texas courts.
