A cold front will move in Wednesday behind a line of potentially strong storms. The cold front will start to move in late morning in our northern locations and then move southeast throughout the day.

ORLANDO — A cold front that will move across Central Florida on Wednesday will be accompanied by a line of showers and storms, some of which may turn severe.

Strong to severe storms are expected to move across Central Florida on Wednesday ahead of a cold front. Showers and storms will move across Interstate 4 around 1 p.m., then slide southeast by 2-3 p.m.

Wednesday has been designated as a Weather Alert Day due to an active weather pattern impacting our area today.

Afternoon temperatures are close to seasonal norms despite the arrival of a cold front. Temperatures will range in the 70s across the region, according to NWS Melbourne. Small craft should exercise caution across offshore Volusia waters for north winds of 15 to 20 knots. A moderate risk of rip currents exists at all east Central Florida beaches.
