Kate and William, the Prince and Princess of Wales, confirmed their patronage of the hospital where she had cancer treatment, the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

Kate made a "strictly private" visit in December o personally deliver gifts to the people involved in her treatment.

In a statement on social media, the princess offered her heartfelt thanks to those who helped her and her husband Prince William.

Prince William is making his first royal outing of the year (and taking on a new patronage) after Kate Middleton announced she is in "remission" from cancer.
