As seen in the film’s trailer, Macdonald pulls heavily from archival footage of the couple during this time. Alongside never-before-seen footage, One to One features newly remixed and produced music by the couple’s only son together Sean Ono Lennon.

One to One: John & Yoko, the new documentary focusing on the 18-month period John Lennon and wife Yoko Ono spent living in New York City’s Greenwich Village in 1971 and ’72, opens exclusively in IMAX theaters in the U.S. on April 11. The film also will get a wider U.S. theatrical release on April 18.
