Haywood is a four-star offensive tackle prospect and the No. 78 player in Rivals’ class of 2025 rankings. He was the top uncommitted recruit heading into the February signing period as the 77 players ahead of him had signed with their schools in the December early-signing period.

The final National Signing Day window opened once again Wednesday morning and runs through April 1, with Michigan football signing 4-star Ty Haywood.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder’s addition is a massive boon for Michigan, which has missed on several offensive line targets in the transfer portal. Haywood becomes the fourth linemen in the 2025 class, joining five-star tackle Andrew Babalola, four-star interior lineman Avery Gach and three-star interior lineman Kaden Strayhorn.
