Magic guard Jalen Suggs will be out indefinitely as he is scheduled to undergo knee surgery to remove a cartilage fragment in his left knee.

Suggs, who acknowledged Saturday that surgery was an option after he had been ruled out indefinitely, is expected to make a full recovery, the Magic said.

Shams Charania said Suggs is anticipated to recover fully, but his rehab procedure will decide when he returns. This injury only serves to compound the Magic’s season-long string of misfortunes, which have caused their once-promising campaign to go south.
