A man facing a murder charge in connection to the shooting Sunday afternoon was also accused of assaulting four police officers.

DALLAS — A man was arrested for shooting and killing another man off Ferguson Road Sunday evening, police said. According to the Dallas Police Department, officers found a man shot after responding to a call around 6:44 p.m. on Sunday. That man later died, and police arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting, DPD said.

Dallas police confirmed there was no active shooter after an incident in Downtown Dallas near the Omni Hotel and Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Saturday afternoon.
