As Arkansas prepares for potential winter weather this week, the Arkansas Department of Transportation is also preparing roads for travelers.

ArDOT preparing for statewide winter storm
– ARDOT’s Strike Team is activated during winter weather events. The team is made up of employees from our statewide sign, striping, and milling crews and they assist District crews in pre-treating and clearing roads. – Crews will finish pre-treating roads by Thursday morning. Then it will be a matter of plowing and re-salting as needed.
