"We’re absolutely going to see some kind of impactful weather, it’s just a matter of how widespread," NWS warns.

Showers and thunderstorms, some severe, are in the forecast for Warren County Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson. Warren County Emergency Management Agency Director John Elfer said the threat will begin in the morning and last through most of the day before clearing out of the area around dusk.

A powerful strom system is forecast to sweep the south Friday and into the weekend, spreading the threat for severe weather all across portions of the US.
