A high school student has been arrested in the deadly shooting of another high schooler at a Newton County park during a “senior skip day” event Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

An 18-year-old shot during a Senior Skip Day event later died from his injuries, Georgia deputies said. A high school student died after shots were fired at an off-campus event, Georgia deputies said.
