The northwest Houston area medical clinic operator who’s accused of allowing illegal abortions to be provided at those facilities was released from the Waller County Jail on Thursday.

Paxton said that Maria "Dr. Maria" Rojas is a known midwife in Northwest Houston and was taken into custody in Waller County.
