CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Reds are the latest team to leave their TV deal with MLB and return to FanDuel Sports. Could the Guardians be the next team to leave?

The Reds announced Monday they reached an agreement to return to their former regional sports network partner for the upcoming season.

The team reversed its November announcement and says FanDuel will continue producing Reds games this season instead of Major League Baseball, and will offer expanded direct-to-consumer streaming of all games not broadcast nationally.

The Cincinnati Reds player payroll budget had been frozen at last year's level (roughly $100 million). Until a new local TV deal was struck.

The team had previously announced its intention to let MLB handle production and distribution for the upcoming season. The Cincinnati Reds are making a big lineup change heading into the 2025 season.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed a new agreement for local telecast and digital broadcasts of its 2025 season, and it's a familiar face. The Cincinnati Reds on Jan. 13 announced a new linear and digital rights agreement to produce and distribute game telecasts in 2025.

Cincinnati games will continue on the FanDuel Sports Network, which had previously operated as Bally Sports Ohio. Despite the name changes, it’s essentially the same setup as in previous seasons. The main change for consumers is that fans can now stream games on the FanDuel Sports Network app in addition to viewing them on television.
