Forty Boeing 737 MAX planes were found to have moving maps that had erased Israel, labeling the state as “Palestinian Territories.”

Air Canada was forced to apologize after the map on some of the airline's narrowbody aircraft erased Israel. The live flight tracker, featured on Air Canada's seat-back entertainment system, reportedly excluded the country name from its map,

Air Canada has apologized after the revelation that at least 40 of its aircrafts did not display Israel as a state on their in-flight entertainment systems. Instead of showing Israel, the map on the carrier’s Boeing 737 MAX fleet replaced it with “Palestinian territories.

Air Canada is working to correct an in-flight map which replaced the State of Israel with “Palestinian territories.” The error was first noticed by a passenger on a recent flight from Vancouver to Montreal.

Air Canada has disabled the map functionality on its 737 MAX twinjets after passengers observed that Israel had been removed.
