Biden administration officials say new tax credits are available for companies that generate clean electricity and it would be a mistake for President-elect Donald Trump to try to undo them.

The Biden administration on Tuesday released guidance to help companies secure clean energy tax credits under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, finalizing a program to extend subsidies long available for wind and solar to other low carbon sources.

Unpaid medical bills will no longer appear on credit reports, where they can block people from getting mortgages, car loans or small business loans, according to a final rule announced Tuesday by the Biden administration.

The rules ban credit agencies from including medical debts on consumers’ credit reports and prohibit lenders from considering medical information in assessing borrowers.
