BRAINTREE — The TGI Fridays at the South Shore Plaza closed for good on Monday, an employee there confirmed, leaving only five locations left in the state for the once-thriving national chain.

Nordstrom locations on both sides of Boston are set to close, the retail giant said Tuesday.
