This comes after former Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy said the purported confession in his remand report was cooked up by the police and that he had not said anything of that sort or named anyone.

MLA Patnam Narendra Reddy confessed to having orchestrated the attack on Vikarabad District Collector Prateek Jain under the directive of BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR).The former MLA was taken into custody by the police on Wednesday in connection with the violence at Vikarabad's Lagacharla area.

According to the remand report, former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy confessed to organising the assault on the Vikarabad collector under the direction of KTR and other key BRS leaders.
