Authorities in Kings County issued an Amber Alert Wednesday for two young girls believed to have been abducted by their father after the girls' mother was found fatally shot at a residence.

An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday in the search for man sought in the killing of a woman in Central California.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a man suspected of killing a woman and abducting two girls in Hanford in Central California. Kings County deputies went to do a welfare check after receiving a call around 4 p.

The alert included Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Riverside counties, with the California Highway Patrol saying the suspect may have fled to Mexico. According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Office,
