President Donald Trump authorized sanctions on International Criminal Court officials who investigate the US and its allies, a move that drew condemnation from the Hague-based tribunal.

The order accuses the International Criminal Court of engaging in “illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally.”

Order will place financial, visa sanctions on individuals who help in ICC investigations of US citizens or US allies, White House said.
