BioWare confirms it’s downsizing as it ‘doesn’t require support from the full studio’ for Mass Effect

In a post to the developer's blog, general manager Gary McKay said the restructuring is all about holding "ourselves to the highest quality standards". A "core team" that includes veterans from the original Mass Effect trilogy is currently making the next game, including "Mike Gamble, Preston Watamaniuk, Derek Watts, Parrish Ley, and others".
Electronic Arts won't say if any BioWare employees have been laid off in the restructuring, but at least one says they have.
