Despite being a junior, Sam Greer is playing like a senior for Archbishop Hoban. That’s because he plans to end his high school basketball career, concentrate on football and graduate early. Still, there’s time to make one more run on the court like he did as a freshman two years when Hoban won a state championship.

Sam Greer scored a career-high 30 points to lead Archbishop Hoban. Sophomore Mason Cerovac did the same for Olmsted Falls. However, Greer scored 14 of his points after the fourth quarter. He put Hoban up for good to start the third overtime Tuesday night during a 75-63 win at Medina High School in the OHSAA Division III boys basketball regional semifinals.
