We visited this zoo to take part in the Poppy Experinece, where we wer able to visit with and feed Poppy the Pygmy Hippo and her mom, Iris. Staff was extraordinary and the expeience was wholly unique…Full review by FrankieMTC

Unfortunately, only wheel chairs. Walking is a problem for me. I walked a portion, took a short ride on their shuttle (it doesn't cover nearly all the grounds) and still didn't see half the zoo. I love it, but will not return as it isn't really ADA friendly.

While we were there a few people had them and large strollers so I think so yes.

Would you say this would be a good zoo to visit for teenage boys? We are heading south for vacation and we were talking about spending a day in Virginia. Just wondering if this would be a place to bring older kids?
A:
Yes! You can feed giraffes, plus there are lots of cool snakes. All of the animals were pretty alert. They also have one of those ropes courses just across the parking lot.
