How far into the mine do you go? Is it very dark and narrow on the tour?

You go about 600' into the mountain. It's pretty much a flat level hike. A little bit of mud. Hiking boots preferred. Not two narrow, my 80 year old dad and 8 year old son made it just fine. …

I don’t know if you could get a motor home down the steep road, however big yellow school buses make the trip down the road.

I’m sure you could bring the dog along, but I doubt the dog can go in the mine for safety reasons. There was a dog hanging out at the check in shack, so I’m sure the owners wouldn’t mind a dog in the parking area or near the gold panning area.
