Now showing a free centenary display of artworks by the celebrated Scottish sculptor, poet, printmaker, gardener and provocateur, Ian Hamilton Finlay. Modern Two is set in a beautiful sculpture park and usually displays exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. It includes a detailed recreation of Eduardo Paolozzi's studio which can be visited by appointment, as well as his 7.3m tall sculpture, Vulcan, that dominates the cafe. Our research facilities are open by appointment. The Prints and Drawings Study Room houses over 35,000 works of graphic art and the Reading Room provides access to over 100,000 library items, 6,000 artists’ and special books and 140+ archival holdings.
