Had a lovely walk around the town centre and finished with a fantastic Sunday lunch at the castle pub. The staff were really friendly, the roast dinner was very tasty and the pudding was scrumptious.… Full review by marklM8531JQ

It was once called the Fletcher & Firkin ( I still work next door & remember this). The Filly & Firkin was what is now the Rose of England on Mansfield Road (near the Victoria Bus Station). The brewery at that time gave a few pubs in their chain a Firkin brand name.
