Cornish Library is located in Armstrong Point. It is one of two branches built in 1915 with grants from the Carnegie Foundation, with a red brick exterior, detailed entrance with stone columns, and ornamental details, and is designated a Grade II heritage building. The library closed May 12, 2018 and underwent significant renovations. In order to keep the original character of the library, existing woodwork throughout the library was kept and refreshed. The library reopened May 11, 2021 with two fully-accessible levels, the main floor housing collections and checkout and the lower level with new program and meeting rooms. An extension to the south of the building includes a bright and open reading area that overlooks the river.
