Christie Lake is stocked with fish- rainbow trout- to be specific. You can get canoe access from spencer creek if the conservation authority hasn't blocked access. They may want payment at the gate and not allow back door approaches. Such is the reality of governmental controls. Then there is always the possibility of being denied by Mother Nature herself. The creek may be too shallow at this time of year.Myself, Icanoed bronte creek and it was very shallow, but I simply portage mu way out of beaching the canoe. Anyway you cut it it never hurts to try. I hope you're at least as adventurous as I am and won't let a little creek stop you from enjoying a beautiful day In the surprisingly wild flamborough creeks and lakes.
