Only just seen this question sorry, I too always sit on the end of the row due to mobility issues but my seat did not have a moving arm they were fixed

Loads of Asian restaurants as Hippodrome is in the middle of Chinatown. However we had a nice meal at the nearby Las Iguanas restaurant
